MEET YOUR BAKER
Hi everyone! My name is Karishma Avari, I am a classically trained chef with a passion for food, our natural world, and social and environmental justice. Thistle & Honey Bakery has been something that I have dreamed of ever since I was a little girl baking in my mom's kitchen. I attended school at the Culinary Institute of America and after graduating, I worked at restaurants that specialize in vegan and gluten free cooking including Equinox and Great Sage. Nowadays, I continue to work in high end kitchens as well as curate makers markets through Inky Cap Artist Co-op, a collective of queer artists in the Baltimore area.
